"The best thing about living in Kinoulton is the peace, the safety and the surroundings. The journey down the hill back into the village after a trip out makes me smile every time!"

Elizabeth has been an active member of Kinoulton Parish Council for the last twelve years after moving to the village some thirty years ago. Having grown up in West Bridgford, Elizabeth worked as a Florist before setting up a teashop in restored outbuildings for a friend, and then running it for 5 years before she retired.

As an active member of the Women's Institute, Elizabeth is passionate about looking after the people in the village in which she lives, and is keen to continue helping to maintain a strong, lively local community - although she admits that the time delays involved in the Parish Council can be frustrating! In her spare time Elizabeth enjoys gardening, embroidery and spending time with her family. She is also involved in the tactile book project.

In the next twelve months Elizabeth is keen to see the PC achieve a number of things, but specifically the play equipment for local children and finalising what's happening with the Recreation Field on Owthorpe Lane.

Her favourite book is Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre but she's also fan of anything by R E Delderfield.
