Village Newsletter

In the latest edition of the Kinoulton Newsletter Di Worn announced that she will be stepping down as the newsletter editor after a number of years doing excellent work in the post.

A new editor is being sought and this is an opportunity to re-think the role and look of the newsletter even to the point of considering whether it it required at all if this site can carry out the same function on-line.

Pledge for Faster Broadband

From Nottinghamshire County Council:

Too many Notts villages still have really slow broadband service

Are you frustrated by slow internet speeds at home or at work? If so, you’re not alone, thousands of people and businesses in the more rural parts of Nottinghamshire are still getting very slow broadband, or worse still – none at all!

This is annoying for home users but potentially disastrous for rural businesses as it makes their websites and payment systems very slow and causes a whole host of other factors that make them less competitive.
