A new Environmental Weight Limit order has been introduced for the Kinoulton area.  It came into effect on the 22 June 2012 and covers a large area from the A46 in the west to the Leicestershire County boundary in the east.  It is intended to prevent heavy commercial vehicles travelling through the area, but allows them to access properties/businesses within the area.  However, where possible businesses which require heavy goods vehicles have been situated outside the area to restrict routes to and from these premises to the most appropriate roads.   This order will work in conjunction with the Cropwell Bishop Environmental Weight Restriction to the north, the Leicestershire Environmental Weight Restriction to the east, and two new areas to the west of the A46 (Cotgrave and Tollerton, Keyworth and Plumtree).
